Lockdown Bobbin!
Monday, 6 July 2020
At last! Lockdown has been lifted, sort of......
We are all still to be extremely careful of how many people we meet, how close the distance is between us and the need to wear masks and constantly wash our hands*, so it was lovely to receive my ordered bobbin from Ben Archer, one of my favourite bobbin makers**. It seems to me to be a very cheerful bobbin, and a wonderfully elegant design!
It is a commemorative Rainbow bobbin, to signify ‘hope’ (re the song, ‘Somewhere Over the Rainbow) being sold in support of our National Health Service charities. The Rainbow emblem has been used all over the UK to show our appreciation of the work and dedication of everyone in the medical profession...and continue to do, while putting their own health and lives at risk.
Knitting Update!
Re last month’s posting......the knitting is now finished! I delivered ten (no less!) soft cosy baby shawls for those in need, to my contact for the local hospital’s maternity unit, just the other day!
Now, the typing up of notes for the next booklet/s can resume......Oh joy......
