The Willow Tree......is back!
The Willow Tree......is back!

Cast your minds back to 2019......the December Blog, to be precise......
When exhibiting my work at the Havant Lace Fair, I was astounded by the amazing response to my pieces, especially the older Blue Willow series and its (inevitable!) following of related patterns!
So, this month I have had my nose to the grindstone, seeking out all the relevant notes, diagrams and photos. No easy task this - there are stacks of file boxes for these pieces and, since creating them, we had a house move too!
But! Never fear, everything (and more besides) has been located and at the moment I would estimate* that I’m about halfway through compiling the first (of several) booklets for this Retro Series of Blue Willow patterns.
I’m also having the most extraordinary ‘fun’, carefully aided by the Evil Cat Septimus, while making a pair of Tiny Blue Birds** to sit atop the addition*** of a Willow Tree Stump......
As ever, the phrase ‘squeezing a quart into a pint pot’ is incredibly pertinent to the ‘fun’ I’m having!!!
Eventually, probably before Nelson gets his eye back, there will also be a whole raft of unpublished Willow Tree related patterns......Tulips, Seedlings, a Sundew, Cactus Flowers, a Bird of Paradise......and so the list goes on and on......all in addition to all the new patterns lurking in the brain cell’s filing system......arrgghhhh!!!
*Vaguely!
**New patterns.
***This may or may not be squeezed into this first of the Blue Willow pint pots!
