Gone Bananas...?? Possibly......
But actually, it is...or when completed will be, a Tree. It is indeed Another Tree, heading ultimately for the Pear-Shaped collection of patterns. The cast list* for one of the next booklets will grow to include this pattern, entitled, ‘I Had a little Nut Tree...’
Admittedly, it is tempting to ‘re-adjust’ the rhyme to follow with the lines,
‘...Nothing would it bear,
But a Green Banana
And a Golden Pear.’
However, I’m not sure that the King of Spain’s daughter, (probably more used to glittery, shiny, precious things) would feel the journey across land and sea to be worth her while, when a glitzy Silver Nutmeg was promised as part of the original deal......
In tandem with this nursery confection, The Hares Series** continues to gather speed, which is more than can be said for my typing, but the brain cell has been working overtime, trying to squeeze the usual half gallon of notes into the pint pot of a booklet or three.
‘A set of three’ is fast seeming to be the most likely end result on the production line for these three major pieces. This doesn’t mean that each pattern will be available as a separate booklet, the notes for all three patterns will necessarily run across the three booklets.
The notes , if typed up separately for each pattern, would exceed the available space in each booklet and would result in multiple booklets being required for each pattern, with many notes being duplicated across all of the patterns.
Faced with this conundrum, the Designer and Author has thus taken the Executive Decision that when the patterns become available, they will be a set of three...
(Or, if things get really tight...Aaarrgghhhh...a set of four.)
At the moment though, things are looking good for The Hares Series being a set of three!
*The current cast list for the Pear-Shaped booklet:

‘...And a Partridge in a Pear Tree’
