Seasonal Reflection
Seasonal Reflection
Monday, 28 November 2016
Here they are - Spring Form and Autumnal Form - both finished and now mounted to create a Seasonal Reflection!
As hoped, enough time was found the get the Autumnal Form off the pillow and placed together with the Spring Form, before the most pressing of the early Christmas preparations, namely the assembling and then the Cooking of the Puddings! Family members can now rest assured that at least one part of the seasonal feasting will be happening......
In the midst of all this culinary activity, I’ve also been typing up the notes for The Leverets, in ‘best’ so to speak, for the next pattern booklet and adjusting instructions to accommodate the additional notes for those relating to Seasonal Reflection.
There are very few variations really, apart from the most obvious differences being those of scale*, the alternative colour selections and the left/right reversal of the pricking, the main difference comes with a separate start for one of the sections that, when working The Leverets, would have commenced with top sewings.
Careful observation will be rewarded by the magical appearance of a couple of Hidden Hares - now you see them, now you don’t......**
*Seasonal Reflection is enlarged to be worked in Piper’s 80/3 Spun Silks and *90/3 Gloss Silks, whereas The Leverets are worked in the much finer Piper’s Floss Silks to a smaller scale.
** Oh yes, you can...Oh no, you can’t......The Pantomime season is also nearly upon us!
Oh yes, it is...Oh no, it isn’t......
